Bucknell Women's Tennis Defeats St. Bonaventure 7-0 to Improve to 2-0 on Season

OLEAN, N.Y. - The Bucknell women's tennis team swept St. Bonaventure 7-0 on Saturday in Olean, N.Y. The Bison won the match without dropping a single set to a St. Bonaventure player to improve to 2-0 on the season.
Nada Curcic won her match at one singles over Anna Perevenzetseva, 6-1, 6-2. At two singles, Tanya Sichko defeated Ana Delgado, 6-0, 6-4. On the third court, Veronica Brown handled Stephanie Fosnight, 6-1, 6-0. Chelsea Mills shut out Sarah Costello, 6-0, 6-0, at four singles. Rheanna Gaskin was up 1-0 versus Jasmine Jaysingh when Jaysingh retired, giving Gaskin the win. The Bison also won the match at six singles by default.
Curcic and Brown took their match at one doubles 8-2 over Delgado and Perevenzetseva. Sichko and Mills earned another Bison win at two singles defeating Fosnight and Costello, 8-6. Gaskin and Daniella Shtemberg received a default victory at three doubles.
The Bison will take next weekend off before heading to Pittsburgh, Pa. on the weekend of March 4. The Bison will play Duquesne on Friday, March 4, at 5 p.m. and take on Pittsburgh on Saturday, March 5, at 2 p.m.
