LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell men's basketball team will be the subject of two half-hour features as part of ESPN's "The Season - College Basketball" series. The programs are scheduled to air on Jan. 3 at 11 p.m. EST and Jan. 10 at 11 p.m. EST on ESPN2.
Please note that if earlier live programming on ESPN2 runs longer than its scheduled time slot, the actual start times for "The Season" may vary. Fans who wish to program recording devices to tape the shows are encouraged to factor in extra time in case there is a delay.
"The Season - College Basketball" is designed to take a behind-the-scenes look at college basketball programs across the nation. A film crew has been following the Bison squad throughout its trip to California for the Cable Car Classic, and the ESPN team will also document the team's trip to Durham, N.C., for the Jan. 2 game against top-ranked Duke at Cameron Indoor Stadium, as well as Bucknell's Patriot League opener at Navy on Jan. 7.
In addition to the original broadcast dates on Jan. 3 and 10, the programs will likely re-air on ESPN2 and/or ESPNU. Check local listings for specific dates and times.
The Bison bring an 8-1 record - their best nine-game start since 1956-57 - into the historic Cable Car Classic. Bucknell and Boston University will meet in the first round on Wednesday night at 11 p.m. EST, with the winner facing either host Santa Clara or UC Riverside in the championship game on Thursday at 11 p.m. EST.
