LEWISBURG, Pa. - Anyone associated with the Bucknell men's basketball program has vivid memories of the team's incredible 2004-05 season. Now, thanks to the 2005 senior class, anyone who walks through the main entrance of Sojka Pavilion will get to share in those memories.
Under the leadership of class president Dave Caribardi, the Class of 2005 provided the funding for a colorful 8 x 37 foot mural that graces an entire wall of the main lobby of Sojka Pavilion. The mural consists of a collage of photos that represents many of the great moments from last season, including Bucknell's Patriot League championship and NCAA Tournament victory over Kansas.
The piece also highlights the tremendous fan support, particularly from the student body, that helped the Bison post a 12-1 home record.

"As a Bucknell alum, and as the head coach of the basketball program, I was filled with pride when I learned that the senior class wanted to utilize their class gift to commemorate such a wonderful season," said head coach Pat Flannery. "The students who helped make this gift possible also had a lot to do with our success last year."
Fans visiting Sojka Pavilion for Saturday night's exhibition game against Lock Haven will have a chance to peruse the mural for the first time.
"This wonderful photo-collage is a fitting tribute to an outstanding Bison basketball season as well as an enduring symbol of the tremendous school pride demonstrated by our Bucknell student body," said director of athletics and recreation John Hardt. "It is impossible to walk past the mural without stopping to reflect on some the magnificent moments from last year's championship season."
Bucknell, the preseason favorite to repeat as Patriot League champion, opens the 2005-06 regular season on Nov. 18 at Rider. After another road tilt at Syracuse on Nov. 22, the Bison play their home opener on Nov. 26 against Yale.
