LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell men's water polo senior captains Aaron Platshon (Menlo Park, Calif./Menlo School) and Brad Roslyn (Philadelphia, Pa./William Penn Charter) were honored for their performances at last weekend's Eastern Championship with Collegiate Water Polo Association All-Conference selections. Roslyn earned first-team honors for the second consecutive year, while Platshon garnered a second-team citation for the third straight season.
Behind the impressive outings from Platshon and Roslyn, the Bison finished fourth in the eight-team Eastern Championship field, their best showing since 1998. Bucknell opened the two-day event in Cambridge, Mass., with a 6-5 win over Brown to advance to the semifinals. It then dropped an 8-7 decision to No. 13 Navy in the semifinals and fell to No. 15 Princeton, 10-4, in the third-place game.
Roslyn, who is a three-time all-conference performer thanks to a second-team award as a sophomore, tallied two goals, two assists and two steals in Bucknell's three games last weekend. He also drew six ejections, including three in the tight loss to Navy.
Roslyn ended the season tied for second on the team with 38 goals. He also tallied 21 assists and 59 points, which both ranked third on the squad. In his career, Roslyn posted 176 goals, 82 assists and 258 points. The Philadelphia, Pa., native fell just eight goals shy of tying Tom Butler for 10th place on the Bison career list. Not just an offensive force, Roslyn recorded 111 career steals to rank sixth on the Bucknell career ledger.
Also a three-time all-conference player, Platshon had an outstanding final three games in Orange and Blue at the Eastern Championship. He scored three goals, dished out four assists, recorded seven steals and drew two ejections. His best numbers came against Navy when he scored two goals and passed for two assists.

The three-time team captain jumped ahead of Roslyn and into second place on Bucknell in scoring this year with 60 points on 22 goals and a career-high 38 assists. Platshon completed his four-year career with 94 goals, 96 assists and 190 points.
