LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell baseball team (12-7, 3-1 Patriot League) earned 15 poll points but fell one spot from last week's No. 15 ranking in the CollegeBaseballInsider.com Northeast poll released Tuesday. The ranking had been Bucknell's first this year, but the Bison were two points out of the top-15 this time around.
Voters acknowledged Bucknell for their fine season to date, most recently a 3-2 week versus Penn State and Navy that included a heartbreaking ninth-inning loss to the Nittany Lions 6-4. The Bison responded by taking three of four from Navy and beginning the season atop the Patriot League poll.
The Bison hope to play against Mount St. Mary's this afternoon in Lewisburg at 3 p.m. if weather permits. Bucknell's next scheduled games will resume the league schedule, Saturday and Sunday at home versus Lehigh.
