Matt Daley Selected as Lewisburg Hotel Bison Athlete of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell senior Matt Daley (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) came within one out of the fourth no-hitter in Bucknell history on Saturday and was chosen as the Lewisburg Hotel Bison Athlete of the Week. He also earned the Patriot League's Pitcher of the Week Award for the first time this season.
Daley faced 28 batters in nine innings versus Dartmouth, with only one hit and one runner reaching on an error coming between him and a perfect game. Against Vermont earlier in the week, Daley threw six innings with no runs and eight strikeouts, giving him 16 total Ks and only three hits in his two appearances.
Bucknell, 9-5, will look for its 10th win of the year on Tuesday at 3 p.m. against Penn State.
