Bradley Roslyn Named Honorable Mention All-American

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell men's water polo player Bradley Roslyn picked up another award last week when he was named Honorable Mention All-America by the American Water Polo Coaches Association. The only Bison honored, Roslyn, a junior, adds this citation to his All-East first team and All-League Southern Division first team plaudits last month.
Roslyn, who won Bucknell's Offensive Most Valuable Player award, led the squad with 50 goals. He added 18 assists for a team-high 68 points. Roslyn also led the team by drawing 41 ejections and firing 150 shots. On two separate occasions the Philadelphia, Pa., native tallied five goals in a game. The second time he accomplished the feat was against Salem International in the Eastern Championship fifth-place game, which the Bison won 9-8. Roslyn has 138 career goals and 199 career points.
At Bucknell's postseason awards banquet, Roslyn was named one of three team captains for the 2005 season. He will be joined by classmates Aaron Platshon and Trevor Mullins.
UCLA, which won the 2004 national title, swept the two major awards as the Bruins' Brett Ormsby was named Player of the Year and his coach, Adam Krikorian was honored as Coach of the Year.
Bucknell finished its season with a 17-14 record, its most wins since it posted a 21-21 mark in 2000. The last time the Bison finished above .500 was 1999.
