Bucknell Volleyball Drops 3-0 Decision at Army

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Rachel Travis had 14 kills and eight blocks to lead Army to a 3-0 victory over Bucknell in a battle for second place in the Patriot League volleyball standings Saturday evening at Gillis Field House.
Chelsea Robertson had 11 kills to lead Bucknell, which fell to 10-8 overall, 4-3 in the Patriot League. Army improved to 10-7, 5-1 with the 30-26, 30-20, 30-15 decision.
The Black Knights outhit Bucknell .233 to .107, outblocked them 14-2 and held a 7-1 edge in service aces. Caitlin Machon added 10 kills for Army.
Bucknell gained a 56-49 edge in digs, led by 12 from Carolyn Dougherty and 10 from Becky Fisher. Jackie Leahy finished with nine kills and nine digs, while Robertson also had nine digs, just missing a double-double. Jessica Le finished with 32 assists, one night after breaking the school record with 66 in a 3-1 win at Holy Cross on Friday.
It was just Bucknell's third three-game loss of the season and first since Sept. 18 against Cornell.
The Bison return to action on Wednesday against Colgate at 7 p.m. in Davis Gym.
