Lindsey Hollobaugh Wins Patriot League Freshman of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. - First-year guard Lindsey Hollobaugh (Loganton, Pa./Central Mountain) was selected as the Patriot League's Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week for the fourth time in the past five weeks following her performance in the Bison's three games against Providence, LaSalle, and Manhattan. For the span, she averaged 19.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.3 steals per game.
Against Providence in the LaSalle Christmas Tournament on Dec. 29, Hollobaugh had a career-high 25 points on 11-for-18 shooting with five rebounds and eight assists in a 79-66 win. She concluded the two-day tournament with 15 points and eight rebounds in a 61-54 loss to LaSalle on Dec. 30. Last Friday, in a 59-49 defeat to Manhattan, Hollobaugh had the second double-double of the season with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Hollobaugh is averaging 16.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, both good for second on the team. She won the league's Freshman of the Week award on Dec. 1, Dec. 8, and Dec. 22 prior to today. The only other winners were Colgate's Molly Patterson on Nov. 24 and Army's Jen Hansen on Dec. 15.
The Bison play tonight at 7 p.m. at Fairleigh Dickinson and tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. at Iona. Bucknell opens the league season on Saturday at 3 p.m. at American.
