Cody Keffer Named Female Athlete of the Month for Women's Water Polo

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell sophomore Cody Keffer (Berkeley, Calif./Berkeley) has received the March Athlete of the Month Award for women's water polo from local co-sponsors K.I.C.K.S. Marshall Arts for Women and Curves for Women.
The March awards were announced at the monthly Bucknell Women's Sports Luncheon, held Thursday, April 3. Sponsored by K.I.C.K.S. Marshall Arts for Women and Curves for Women, the luncheon recognizes one outstanding student-athlete from each Bucknell women's sport in season at that time. The other winners for the month of March, as selected by their respective coaches, were Jill Wurzburg for women's tennis, Lauren Wible and Lauren Box for softball, Theresa Dennis for outdoor track and field, Nicole Kallis for women's lacrosse, and Amy Jones for women's golf.
Kefer leads the water polo team with 27 goals and 19 assists on the season. The sophomore also leads the team with 29 steals.
Bucknell holds a 10-10 record overall and 5-3 in the CWPA Southern Division. The Bison will participate in the ECAC Championships on April 5-6 and will host the Southern Division Championships on April 11-13 in Kinney Natatorium.
The next Women's Sport Luncheon will be held on Thursday, April 24 at noon.
