Katie Hartigan Named Female Athlete of the Month For Women's Water Polo

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell sophomore Katie Hartigan (Coronado, Calif./Bishop's School) has received the February Athlete of the Month Award for women's water polo from local co-sponsors K.I.C.K.S. Marshall Arts for Women and Curves for Women.
The February awards were announced at the monthly Bucknell Women's Sports Luncheon, held Thursday, March 6. Sponsored by K.I.C.K.S. Marshall Arts for Women and Curves for Women, the luncheon recognizes one outstanding student-athlete from each Bucknell women's sport in season at that time. The other winners for the month of February, as selected by their respective coaches, were Nadezda Curcic for women's tennis and Charity Brady for indoor track and field.
Hartigan has scored four goals and tallied two assists for the Bison in four games. The sophomore scored two goals in the 10-9 win over Harvard on Feb. 22.
The Bison own a 1-3 record and will be traveling to Salem, W.V. to play in the League Games, March 8-9. Bucknell will then travel to Riverside, Calif. to partake in the Cal Baptist Invitational on March 14-15.
The next Women's Sport Luncheon will be held on Thursday, April 3 at noon.
