Bison Women's Golf Tied for 12th After First Round of William & Mary Invitational

WILLIAMSBURG, Pa. - Playing its first tournament round of the spring season, and its first as a member of the Big South Conference, Bucknell's women's golf team gathered a solid 323 team score and finds itself tied for 12th place in a field of 22 after the first round of the William & Mary Invitational at Ford's Colony CC.
Senior Molly Campbell carded a team-low 78 as the Bison recorded their fifth-best team score in the five-year history of the program. Campbell, who went out in 38 on the par-71 track, is in 22nd place overall.
Jess Hetrich shot 81 for Bucknell, while Jaime Hays and Amy Jones each came in with matching 82s. Kelly Evans shot 90.
Longwood University took the first-round lead with a 307, one shot better than James Madison. Longwood's Tiffany Woodyer and JMU's Jessica Lewis share the individual lead after shooting two-over 73s on Saturday.
The tournament's final 18 holes begin Sunday morning.
