Bucknell's Powell Received Third Weekly Honor From Patriot League

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell's indoor track and field athlete, junior Noel Powell (Tamaqua, Pa./Tamaqua Area) was honored the Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week award for the third time this season on Tuesday, Feb. 4. Powell was awarded the honor after setting the school record in the 200-meter dash at the Penn State National Invitational this past weekend.
Powell received a silver medal after leaping 23'11.5" in the long jump. Despite an eighth place finish in the 200-meter dash, the junior posted a record-breaking time of 21.94. Powell has set two new school records this season, including the 200-meter dash and the long jump.
The Bison will travel to participate in the Kent State Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 8.
