LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell senior forward Boakai Lalugba (East Orange, N.J./Essex Catholic H.S.) currently ranks 15th in rebounding among all Division I players with an average of 10.2 rpg.
Lalugba, who recorded 15 rebounds against Lafayette on Sunday and also has two 16-rebound games this season, leads the Patriot League in both caroms and overall scoring (16.0 ppg). He is one of only 18 Division I players who currently average a double-double.
Lalugba, who has 10 double-doubles this season, is vying to become only the second player in Patriot League history to lead the league in scoring and rebounding in the same season. Former Colgate standout Adonal Foyle, now with the NBA's Golden State Warriors, is the only player to accomplish the feat.
Following Sunday's 23-point, 15-rebound effort in a 68-48 win over Lafayette, Lalugba has moved into 14th place on Bucknell's all-time scoring list (1185) and 11th on the BU rebounding chart (639). He also ranks 27th and 7th, respectively, on the Patriot League scoring and rebounding career lists.
