Bucknell Men's Cross Country Finish First At Army

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Bucknell University men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Army Invitational Saturday afternoon. The men's team finished first out of a total of six teams, while the women completed the meet third out of five teams.
The men's team compiled a team score of 27 points and clinched first at the meet. Bucknell had four of its runners place in the top 10 finishers. First, second and third were topped off by Bison, Greg Costello (26:18.00), Bryan Johnston (26:25.00), and Nick Mousetis (26:26.00). Placing 11th and 12th were Wes Reinhard (27:00.00) and Stephan Schaefer (27:01.00).
The men's team ran a total of 22 members at the Army meet.
The women's team placed third with a total of 66 team points falling only three points short of surpassing Patriot League foe Army. Claiming third place overall, Bison runner Theresa Dennis ran the 6k course in 23:34.00. Following closely behind Dennis, included freshmen Kayla Halloran (10th, 24:04.00) and Alison Cole (11th, 24:06.00). The women's team entered 18 members in the meet.
Bucknell will return to action in two weeks on Friday, Sept. 27, when they travel to the Great American Cross Country Classic and to the Lehigh Invitational.
