Bison Volleyball Completes The Buffalo Tournament

Buffalo, N.Y. - Bucknell's women's volleyball team continued play at the University of Buffalo Hampton Inn-vitational Saturday afternoon. The Bison finish the tournament with a 1-2 record after winning Friday evening against Canisius and falling to Buffalo and Coastal Carolina Saturday afternoon.
Bucknell went back-to-back Saturday afternoon during tournament play. The Bison faced host Buffalo in the first game of the afternoon and fell 3-2. Breean Trapasso completed 43 assists for the Bison, while Melanie Ghiz compiled 17 kills. Brandi Trapasso also added to the match with a total of 22 digs.
The Bison then challenged Coastal Carolina in the second match of the day. Bucknell fell to the Chanticleers, 3-0. Jennifer Wrigley tallied the point on hits with her 11 kills and .242 hitting percentage. Wrigley and Brandi Trapasso led the team in digs, 16 and 17 respectively. Breean Trapasso gave the Bison 35 assists against Coastal Carolina. The Chanticleers were the tournament champions with a tournament record of 3-0.
Named to the University of Buffalo Hampton Inn-vitational All-Tournament Team, from Bucknell, were Ghiz and Brandi Trapasso.
Bucknell travels to play in the Stony Brook tournament with Providence and Saint Francis next weekend, Sept. 6-7.
