LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell University department of athletics and recreation, in conjunction with Student Advantage's Official College Sports Network, has unveiled a complete redesign of the school's official athletic Web site located at www.BucknellBison.com. The site, which re-launched on July 22, is the only official source of information, multimedia, and more directly from the Bucknell athletic department.
Along with the new look, BucknellBison.com offers expanded efforts to provide alumni, fans and media with complete information on all Bison sports. The site features live game audio, schedules, press releases, statistics, donation information, interactive games and promotions. Throughout the year, there will be opportunities to interact online with Bucknell athletes and coaches.
The redesigned site prominently features many of Bucknell's new graphic identity marks, which were also unveiled for the first time publicly on Monday.
"The redesign of the athletics web site is a significant part of our new graphics identity for the Bison athletics program," said John Hardt, Bucknell's director of athletics and recreation. "We're very excited about the visual enhancements developed by OCSN. This represents a wonderful opportunity to share our exciting new logo and marks with our fans and alums all over the world, while keeping them abreast of all the latest happenings in Bison Athletics."
"We are excited that Bucknell University has chosen to enhance its official athletic site," said Jeff Cravens, Official College Sports Network's Vice President and General Manager. "BucknellBison.com is the complete destination for Bucknell fans to follow their favorite Bison teams. The power of the Internet has become a vital part of any athletic department's marketing, promotional and information efforts, and it is a credit to Bucknell that they are taking full advantage of it."
Bucknell sponsors 26 intercollegiate sports, 12 for men and 14 for women, at the Division I level (1-AA in football). It is a charter member of the Patriot League and has won the league's all-sports championship in nine of the 12 years it has been contested. Bucknell annually ranks among the top institutions in student-athlete graduation rate in Division I and ranks third in Division I in producing Verizon Academic All-Americans.
