Bison Women's Water Polo Player Named to Southern Division All-Conference Team

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell senior women's water polo player Brooke Rea (Canandaigua, N.Y./Los Altos) has been named to the 2002 Collegiate Water Polo Association Southern Division All-Conference Second-Team.
Rea, a co-captain on the 2002 squad, is making her first appearance on the all-conference team. The 2-meter player capped a standout three-year career with a 69-point season in 2002. Finishing third on the squad in goals (50) and points, Rea broke the school record for career goals earlier in the year. In addition to her point totals, Rea was a team-leader on defense, recording a squad-best 41 ejections drawn and finishing second on the team in steals with 52.
For her career, Rea tallied 161 goals and 69 assists for 230 points. In addition to her Bucknell record setting goal total, she is also second on the career points list and third on the career assists list.
The 2002 women's water polo team finished the year with a 14-19 overall record and a mark of 2-4 in the conference.
