Berthod Wins Subway Athlete of the Month Award in Tennis

The award was announced at the monthly Bucknell Women's Sports Luncheon, held Monday, April 1. Sponsored by Lewisburg Subway, the luncheon recognizes one outstanding student-athlete from each Bucknell women's sport in season at that time. The other winners for the month of March, as selected by their respective coaches, were senior Brooke Rea and freshman Cody Keffer in water polo, senior Kelly McConnell in track & field, senior Kelly Dugan in softball and junior Nicole Kallis in lacrosse.
Berthod has been on fire as of late, winning her last six singles matches. She is 13-5 in singles play, and has done the most damage at the No. 6 position, where she is 6-1 on the season. Berthod is also 2-2 at second singles, 3-2 at third singles, and 2-0 at No. 5 singles.
In doubles competition, Berthod is 5-5 for the year. She is 3-0 at No. 3 doubles and 2-5 at second doubles.
Bucknell has put together a 5-5 (0-2 Patriot League) record this spring. Berthod and the Bison continue their season on Friday with a non-league match at Maryland-Baltimore County beginning at 3:30 p.m.
