LEWISBURG, Pa. — Abby Platt was named the Patriot League Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Tuesday after going 2-0 in her matches against Lehigh on Saturday. This is Platt's second Patriot League weekly honor of the season, with the first coming on March 3.
The senior was a part of both of Bucknell's two points scored against the Mountain Hawks as the Bison ultimately fell 5-2 in Bethlehem. Platt went 2-0 in the No. 1 singles and doubles matches on the day.
She opened the contest by taking the first doubles match of the afternoon alongside Riley Jennings as the duo blanked Hannah Letzer and Lena Dogadalski 6-0 at the No. 1 doubles spot.
Platt then followed that up by winning her No. 1 singles match over Maggie Forkner 6-1, 7-6 to tie the match at two apiece, before the Bison ultimately lost the conference match.
Bucknell women's tennis is next set to play on Saturday, April 4 at home as they take on Colgate on the Varsity Tennis Courts.
