LEWISBURG, Pa. - Junior Lindsay Chesterfield has been named the Collegiate Water Polo Association Southern Division Player of the Week for the week ending April 7. Chesterfield picks up the honor after a 1-2 weekend for the Bison in the final set of league games.
The goalkeeper opened the weekend with an 11 save performance in a heartbreaking 9-8 loss to George Washington. The following day, Chesterfield registered 14 saves in Bucknell's 8-5 win against Villanova, before recording 12 saves in BU's 11-6 loss to 13th-ranked Princeton.
For the season, Chesterfield has recorded 205 saves and allowed 200 goals for a .506 save percentage. The Bison are 7-14 overall and 2-4 in the Southern Division. The squad is in action again on Friday and Saturday, April 12-13, at the Grove City Invitational.
