Bucknell Women's Water Polo Opens Spring Break With 11-10 Sudden Victory Win

CLAREMONT, Calif. - The Bucknell women's water polo team got the annual spring break trip to California started on a strong note, defeating Pomona Pitzer, the third-ranked Division III team in the country, 11-10 in sudden victory overtime on Tuesday, March 12.
Freshman Cody Keffer returned to her home state for the first time at the collegiate level, and tallied the game-winner for the Bison. Keffer finished the game with three scores and one assist, in addition to three steals. Senior Brooke Rea led the squad with four goals in the game to go along with three assists, one steal and three ejections drawn. Also scoring multiple times with two goals each were sophomore Kelly Hofstetter and freshman Eileen Ketterer.
Junior Lindsay Chesterfield made 14 stops in the game while allowing the 10 goals.
Bucknell improves to 5-6 overall and will face Cal-Baptist on Wednesday, March 13.
