Bucknell Women's Water Polo Opens Season With 15-2 Loss to Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Bucknell women's water polo team opened its 2002 season with a disappointing 15-2 loss to 16th-ranked Princeton University at the Princeton Invitational on Saturday.
Two freshmen got involved in the scoring early in their careers, as Meg Blitzer (Durham, N.H./Phillips Academy) assisted on both Bison goals for her first career points. Classmate Cody Keffer (Berkeley, Calif./Berkeley) tallied one of Bucknell's goals in the contest, and sophomore Kelly Hofstetter (Scotts Valley, Calif./Harbor) recorded the other.
Junior Lindsay Chesterfield (Kingston, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) was in the net for the Orange and Blue, stopping four shots.
Bucknell is 0-1 and faces Slippery Rock at 4:30 p.m. today.
