Bucknell Volleyball Falls To Army In A 3-0 Decision

LEWISBURG, Pa. - After defeating Patriot League member Holy Cross 3-0 on Friday, Bucknell dropped a 3-0 decision to the Black Knights of Army on Saturday. The Orange and Blue drop to 8-5 in the Patriot League.
The battle between the Bison and the Black Knights pushed the first game to the end. Army grabbed their first victory in game one, 30-27. The Bison suffered a 30-17 loss in the second game of the evening. After the intermission the Orange and Blue fought long and hard, but fell short in a 33-31 result.
Bison leaders included Melanie Ghiz, who marked team-high 19 kills for the evening. Breean Trapasso and Chelsea Anderson recorded 14 digs apiece during the three-game match. Breean Trapasso also helped the Bison with a match total 29 assists.
Bucknell completed the homecoming weekend 14-12 overall and 8-5 in the League. The Bison will finish their regular season play on Saturday, Nov. 16 in Davis Gymnasium, when they host Patriot League opponent Colgate at 7 p.m.
