Bucknell Women's Golf Gets Off to Solid Start at Yale

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Bucknell University women's golf team shot an impressive 325 on the opening day of the Yale Invitational this afternoon at the Yale Golf Course Saturday afternoon. The team's 325-stroke mark is the third-best 18-hole team score in Bucknell women's golf history.
The Bison, who are in seventh place among 17 teams, were led by junior Molly Campbell, who shot a team-low 79 to tie for 18th place out of 90 competitors on the par-70, 5,851-yard course. Senior Hilary Mainka was the team's next best finisher, firing a season-low 81 to finish in a tie for 24th place. Freshman Jaime Hays (82, tied for 27th) and junior Jess Hetrich (83, tied for 33rd) rounded out the Bison's team scoring. Junior Amy Jones also competed, shooting an 88.
Bucknell will return to Yale tomorrow to conclude tournament play.
