Bucknell won championships in women's cross country, volleyball, men's lacrosse, baseball, and women's outdoor track & field this year, but the overall balance of its athletic program is what ultimately brought home the cup. Bucknell placed third or higher in 16 of the league's 22 sports and outdistanced runner-up Lehigh by nine points to win for the eighth time in the 11-year history of the league.
On the women's side, the Bison accumulated 49.0 points to top Lehigh by three. In addition to the three championships won by the Bison women, Bucknell placed second in field hockey, indoor track & field, and swimming & diving, and finished third in soccer. It was the fourth straight women's trophy and the seventh overall for the Orange and Blue.
In addition to the titles in lacrosse and baseball, the Bucknell men finished second in cross country, and indoor and outdoor track & field to tally a total of 53.5 points - 5.5 points higher than runner-up Army.
