Ashley Evans Wins Subway Athlete of the Month Award for Women's Lacrosse

Lewisburg, Pa. -- Bucknell senior Ashley Evans (Millersville, Md./Severna Park) has received the Subway Athlete of the Month Award for the month of February in Women's Lacrosse.
The award was announced at the monthly Bucknell Women's Sports Luncheon, held Monday, April 2. Sponsored by Lewisburg Subway, the luncheon recognizes one outstanding student-athlete from each Bucknell women's sport in season at that time. The other winners for the month of February, as selected by their respective coaches, were sophomore Laura Maisel for tennis, junior Steph Bango for indoor track & field, junior Kelly Dugan for softball and senior Julie McLaughlin for water polo.
Evans, a captain, provides valuable leadership to the squad. She is currently second on the team in scoring, having already posted 22 goals and 11 assists. In Patriot League play, she has nine goals and three assists, giving her a team-leading total of 12 Patriot League points. Evans has now tallied 114 points on her impressive career with 85 goals and 29 assists.
The Bison are now 3-8 on the season and will be in action again on April 14th when they host Patriot League foe Villanova at 1:00 p.m.
