Junior Kelly Dugan Is Named Softball Subway Athlete of the Month

Lewisburg, Pa. -- Bucknell junior Kelly Dugan (Mt. Holly, N.J./Rancocas Valley) has received the Subway Athlete of the Month Award for the month of February in Softball.
The award was announced at the monthly Bucknell Women's Sports Luncheon, held Monday, April 2. Sponsored by Lewisburg Subway, the luncheon recognizes one outstanding student-athlete from each Bucknell women's sport in season at that time. The other winners for the month of February, as selected by their respective coaches, were sophomore Laura Maisel for tennis, junior Steph Bango for indoor track & field, senior Ashley Evans in lacrosse and senior Julie McLaughlin for water polo.
Dugan, a returning starter at first base for the Bison, has been a solid force on the team, both offensively and defensively for the past two years. Dugan has started 27 games for the Bison this season and posts a .310 batting average with 26 hits in 84 at-bats. She currently leads the team in RBIs with an impressive 18 on the season.
The Bison are now 11-16-2 on the season and are in action again on April 10th when they host Seton Hall for a doubleheader beginning at 1:00 p.m.
