Women's Tennis Team Suffers Ninth-Straight Loss

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 match to visiting Millersville on Wednesday, April 25, in non-conference action. The Bison fall to 4-10 overall while the Marauders improve to 25-2 on the year.
Bucknell sophomore Laura Maisel (Princeton, N.J./Hun School) continued her winning ways, picking up BU's only singles victory of the day. Maisel improved to 12-4 in singles competition with a 7-5, 3-6 (2) win at the third flight.
Maisel was a double winner on the day, teaming up with sophomore Jill Wurzburg (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier) at the third doubles flight to pick up a 9-7 win over Millersville's Abbie Sweitzer and Kristina Egar.
The Bison are in action again on Thursday, April 26, when they host Bloomsburg for the final dual match of the season. Bucknell will host the Patriot League Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, April 28-29.
