Women's Lacrosse Players Among Nation's Leaders

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell women's lacrosse sophomores Suzanne Raffaele (Springfield, Pa./Archmere Academy) and Nicole Kallis (Stevensville, Md./St. Mary's), are ranked nationally in goals per game and save percentage, respectively. The 2001 NCAA Women's Lacrosse statistics leaders report was updated on Sunday, April 8.
Raffaele, an attack for the Bison, is ranked 19th in the country in goals per game with 2.91 each time out. She has tallied a team-high 32 goals in 11 games, ranking her third among Patriot League players in that category. Raffaele's 32 scores is also the third-highest total in the league and is just three goals shy of her total from a year ago.
Kallis has played in 10 games for the Bison, starting seven in the net. With a save percentage of .588, Kallis stands at 11th in the nation in that category. She has allowed 84 goals while stopping 120 opponents' shots.
Bucknell is 3-8 overall and 0-3 in Patriot League play. The Bison host Villanova on Saturday, April 14, for a 1:00 p.m. contest, before hosting Columbia on Tuesday, April 17, at 3:00 p.m. for their final home game of the season.
