Women's Water Polo Player Named CWPA Player of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell women's water polo player Julie McLaughlin (Woodside, Calif./Menlo) has been named Player of the Week by the Collegiate Water Polo Association. The award was announced given for the week ending February 28.
McLaughlin led the Bison to a 3-0 weekend at the Bucknell Invitational as the team defeated Grove City (14-4), Slippery Rock (12-7) and Salem International (18-9). The senior co-captain scored 11 goals and tallied seven assists, while earning 11 steals to shore up the Orange and Blue defense.
On the season, McLaughlin is second in assists (15), points (36) and steals (27) and third on the team in goals scored with 21.
The Bison have posted a 6-4 record through 10 games, going 1-3 in conference action.
