Women's Lacrosse Team Falls To Stanford 15-10

Stanford, Calif. - This afternoon the Bucknell women's lacrosse team suffered its second defeat of the season to the Stanford Cardinals, 15-10. The contest is the first of three contests that the Orange and Blue will be playing during their spring break trip in California.
Leading the way for the Herd was sophomore Suzanne Raffaele (Springfield, Pa./Archmere Academy) who recorded four goals and one assist in the contest. Raffaele now has seven goals through two games this season. Also scoring for the Bison were seniors Kari Evans (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) and Ashley Evans (Millersville, Md./Severna Park) with three goals and two assists combined. Freshman Laura Nuss (Englewood, Colo./Cherry Creek) netted her first two career goals in the contest.
Rounding out the scoring for Bucknell was senior Jen Holiday (Hatboro, Pa./Upper Moreland) with one tally and junior Allison Berry (Phoenix, Md./Maryvale Prep) with one assist.
The women's lacrosse team will seek out its first win of the season when it plays the University of California at Berkely on Wednesday, March 14, at 7:00 p.m. eastern standard time.
