Bucknell Takes Bite Out Of Albany, 76-67

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Bryan Bailey scored 16 of his 20 points in the second half to help Bucknell post a 76-67 come-from-behind victory over Albany on Saturday.
Bucknell (13-14) trailed by as much as eight points in the final period and were still down 54-48 with 9:14 remaining. But the Bison ripped off 12 consecutive points to take the lead.
Bailey, at 6-foot-2, scored 10 in that stretch, and put his team on top with a steal and a layup. He completed that decisive run with a pair of free throws for a 60-54 advantage.
Albany (6-21) closed within 66-64 on a turnaround baseline jumper by Sam Hopes with 1:28 remaining. Brian Werner, who had 17 points and 12 rebounds, sank four free throws in that span.
The Great Danes used a 10-3 run in the final period to build a 52-44 lead. Guard Antione Johnson led that charge with a game-high 21 points. The two teams battled to a 34-34 halftime deadlock.
