Bucknell Men's Lacrosse Picked To Finish Third In Patriot League Pre-Season Poll

Bethlehem, Pa. --- The Bucknell men's lacrosse team was chosen to finish in third place in the Patriot League men's lacrosse pre-season poll. Bucknell, received 49 points in the coaches' and sports information director's poll. The Bison return two second team All-League seniors Michael Cheng (Floral Park, N.Y./Floral Park) and Mark Juelis (Westfield, N.J./Westfield).
Hobart, which garnered nine first-place votes, was chosen to win the title in the annual pre-season poll. The defending co-Patriot League champion with a 7-7 overall and 5-1 league record in 1999, Hobart captured 69 points in the pre-season tally. Army, 4-2 in league play last season (8-7 overall), had five first-place votes and finished second with 64 points in the poll. Bucknell finished third with 49 points, returning in 2000 after finishing the '99 ledger with a 5-1 league record and share of the league crown. Lehigh slides into the fourth position in the conference after receiving 44 points in the poll.
Rounding out the Patriot League was Colgate with 32 points, Lafayette with 24 points and Holy Cross with 12 points.
