Binghamton Deals Bucknell Volleyball 3-0 Setback

VESTAL, N.Y. - Despite getting a match-high 13 kills from senior Shannon Walker, the Bucknell University volleyball dropped a 3-0 non-league decision to Binghamton University Friday evening.
The Bison fell to 12-11 with the loss, while Binghamton improved to10-12.
Binghamton's defense limited Bucknell to .036 hitting in game one, which the Bearcats won 30-19. The Bison rebounded with a strong effort in the second game, hitting .273, but Binghamton came out on top 30-28. The Bearcats ended the match with a 30-27 victory in the third stanza despite .258 hitting from Bucknell.
Sophomore Brandi Trapasso posted six kills and five digs to aid the Bison, while freshman Jackie Leahy added five kills and a team-high six digs. Sophomore Breean Trapasso recorded a team-high 20 assists, and freshman Lauren Kraus added three service aces.
Bucknell will conclude its 2001 regular season schedule tomorrow evening, when it visits Colgate in a Patriot League contest beginning at 7 p.m.
