LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Bucknell senior Chris Crowe has received the Subway Athlete of the Month Award for the month of November in cross country.
The award was announced at the monthly Bucknell Women's Sports Luncheon, held Monday, Nov. 5. Sponsored by Lewisburg Subway, the luncheon recognizes one outstanding student-athlete from each Bucknell women's sport in season at that time. The other winners for the month of November, as selected by their respective coaches, were senior Lauren Campbell in field hockey, senior Whitney Williams in volleyball, and sophomore Abbey Seaboyer in soccer.
Crowe finished second out of 73 runners at the Patriot League Championship, held at Colgate University, on Oct. 27. She was clocked at 22:50.4 for the 6,000 meter course, and helped the Bison win the Patriot League title for the fourth year in a row. Her second-place finish was Crowe's best at a Patriot League Championship after placing sixth as a junior, 25th as a sophomore, and 14th as a freshman.
Bucknell will travel to Lehigh University this Saturday for the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional meet.
