Bucknell recorded its first shutout since 1997 (33-0 over Towson) with a 34-0 blanking of Georgetown on Homecoming Day at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium ... the Bison defense was dominant, yielding only 28 rushing yards and 167 total yards ... the Herd outgained the Hoyas 528-167 on the day ... Bucknell claimed three more takeaways, giving it 19 in the last four weeks ... it was the second time in three weeks the Bison held an opponent under 30 yards rushing ... Georgetown advanced into Bucknell territory only three times all day and only twice inside the red zone ... CB Reed Tunison set the tone for the day when he returned an interception 29 yards for a touchdown on the game's first play from scrimmage ... it was his second interception for a touchdown this season, tying the Patriot League record ... the win was Bucknell's fifth straight and the 5-1 start matches last year's hot beginning ... head coach Tom Gadd won his 47th game at Bucknell, leaving him one shy of the school record of 48 held by Bob Curtis ... the Bison need to win only one of their last four games to clinch their seventh straight winning season ... SS Virgil Rush led all players with eight tackles ... P/LB Billy Windle recovered a fumble on defense and averaged 36.8 yards on four punts, including a 51-yarder ... K Chris Lundberg missed a 47-yard field goal on his only attempt of the day, marking the first game this season in which he has not booted a three-pointer ... Bucknell tied its school record with 14 penalties ... the crowd of 8,050 was the 11th-largest since the remodeling of Mathewson Stadium in 1989 ...
