Bison Men's Water Polo Loses to 16th Ranked Princeton, 11-4

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Bucknell men's water polo team had a four game win streak snapped with a 11-4 loss to the 16th ranked team in the country, Princeton, at the inter-regional championship of the Collegiate Water Polo Association on Saturday.
Freshman Elliot Benoist (St. Louis, Mo./St. Louis Country Day) led the offensive effort with two goals. Also scoring was sophomore Scott Afzal (Ellicott City, Md./McDonogh School) and freshman Paul Yerkes (Orlando, Fla./Winter Park), each with one goal.
In the net, senior David Kennedy (St. Louis, Mo./St. Louis Country Day) played all but two minutes, stopping nine Princeton shots. Freshman Ernest Martin (Winchester, Calif./Perris) completed the game in goal, recording two saves and collecting one steal.
The Bison fall to 8-10 overall and 4-3 in CWPA action. The squad takes on Johns Hopkins at 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, October 21, for third place.
