EASTON, Pa. - Senior Shannon Walker recorded match-highs of 19 kills and five blocks, and Bucknell University swept Lafayette College 3-0 (33-31, 30-21, 30-15) in Patriot League volleyball action Saturday evening in the Kirby Sports Center at Lafayette.
The Bison snapped a two-match losing skid with the win and improved to 10-7 and 6-3 in league play. Lafayette fell to 0-23 and 0-9 in the Patriot League.
Bucknell used its entire roster to defeat the Leopards, as all 15 Bison received playing time.
Sophomore Breean Trapasso contributed to the victory with a career and match-high six service aces to go with eight assists and six digs. Senior Whitney Williams added a team-high 16 assists, while freshman Carolyn Dougherty pitched in with a career and match-high 10 digs.
The Bison return home on Oct. 26 to take on Patriot League opponent Navy beginning at 7 p.m.
