Bison Volleyball Drops 3-1 Decision to Lehigh

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - After winning the opening set 30-26, the Bucknell University volleyball lost the next three games, 30-28, 30-22 and 30-19, and Lehigh University came away with a 3-1 Patriot League victory.
The loss was the Bison's second consecutive Patriot League defeat, and dropped Bucknell's record to 9-7 and 5-3 in league play. Lehigh improved to 9-8 and 6-2 in the Patriot League.
Senior Shannon Walker paced the Bison with a team-high 16 kills on 34 attempts while making just two errors for a .412 hitting percentage. Sophomore Brandi Trapasso tallied 15 kills and 14 digs, while freshman Jackie Leahy and senior Whitney Williams also came through with a "double-double." Leahy recorded 12 kills and 10 digs, while Williams had 37 assists and 10 digs.
Rochelle Healea led Lehigh with a match-high 21 kills to go with 14 digs.
The Bison continue their Patriot League schedule tomorrow evening at Lafayette.
