Volleyball Falls To #5 Penn State

COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL: Penn State 3, BUCKNELL 0
University Park, Pa. --- The Bucknell women's volleyball team dropped its third match of the year this evening to defending National Champion, Penn State. The Nittany Lions held a tough hand over the Bison, defeating them 3-0.
Playing against the #5 ranked team in the country, the Bison lasted only 55 minutes against a strong Penn State team. Penn State, with this 3-0 (15-0, 15-3, 15-2) win over Bucknell extends its current home-court winning streak to 81 consecutive matches. This record is currently the best in the NCAA's.
Sophomore Jen Wrigley (Benicia, Calif./Benicia) notched four kills in eight attempts for the Bison. Bucknell drops to 1-3 on the season after tonight's loss.
The Orange and Blue will face some hearty competition this weekend when they travel to Youngstown, Ohio for the Youngstown Volleyball Tournament. The Bucknell volleyball team will have its first contest against Youngstown State on Friday, September 8 at 6:30 p.m.
