Volleyball Falls To 1-4 On The Season

COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL: Youngstown State 3, BUCKNELL 0
Youngstown, Ohio --- The Bucknell women's volleyball team dropped its fourth match of the season to Youngstown State this evening at the YSU Tournament. The Bison fell in three straight games to the Penquins, 15-10, 15-11, and 17-15. Bucknell's record now stands at 1-4 going into tomorrow's action.
Leading the Bison statistically was junior Shannon Walker (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield) with a team-high 14 kills and sophomore Jen Wrigley (Benicia, Calif./Benicia) with 10 kills. As a team, the Orange and Blue had a .189 hitting percentage for the contest.
The volleyball team will continue play in the Youngstown State Tournament tomorrow, Saturday, September 9, when they face UNC-Asheville at 12:00 noon and Drexel at 2:00 p.m. Bucknell volleyball will have its first competition at home next weekend, September 15-16, when it hosts Manhattan, Virginia Commonwealth, St. Francis (PA), and Stony Brook.
