LEWISBURG, PA - Three Bucknell University football players were honored Tuesday afternoon at the Lewisburg Touchdown Club Luncheon. The player of the game honors for the Richmond contest were selected by the Bucknell coaching staff and publicly announced at the weekly affair.
Junior tight end Greg Readinger (Orlando, Fla./Dr. Phillips) was selected as the Offensive-Player-of-the-Game after leading all receivers in the 10-7 setback to the Spiders with four receptions for 38 yards. He was making his first collegiate start.
Senior linebacker Vince Ficca (Princeton Junction, N.J./Lawrenceville School) was named the Defensive-Player-of-the-Game. Ficca led all players with 12 tackles, six of which were unassisted hits, and also blocked a Richmond punt.
Sophomore linebacker Joe Massey (Brooklyn, N.Y./Canarsie) was chosen as the Special Teams-Player-of-the-Game. Massey helped lead a Bison special teams unit that blocked a pair of Richmond punts. He made five tackles in the game, including a quarterback sack.
