Lewisburg, Pa. - Rashod Johnson led the London Leopards in an 85-62 exhibition victory over the Bucknell Bison with 20 points. He was as one of five players for the Leopards in double figures in a very balanced offensive attack.
The first half started slowly, as both teams struggled from the floor and every foul was called. The Bison didn't score their first points off a field goal until the 12:47 mark to make the score 19-6 in favor of London. However, from this point on Bucknell outscored the Leopards 34-22 to close out the first stanza.
In the second stanza London began to creep away from Bucknell as it went on a 13-2 run in the first 3:33 of the half. Bucknell responded with its own 5-0 run, but London outscored the Bison 25-16 in the final 13:28 of regulation. The Bison committed 38 turnovers in the contest.
Senior guard Jake Ramage (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) and junior point guard Bryan Bailey (Hempstead, N.Y./South Side) led the Bison scoring attack with 14 and 13 points, respectively.
Bucknell will open up its regular season schedule on Saturday, November 18, in Davis Gymnasium versus Lock Haven at 7:30 p.m.
