
Water Polo Recovers With Victory Against George Washington

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Bucknell men's water polo team
ended its weekend on a strong note, picking up a 12-7 victory
over George Washington at the Southern Division League games,
being played at Navy on Saturday and Sunday, October 7-8.
Earlier in the day, the Bison fell, 9-5, to Princeton, ranked
17th in the nation. Bucknell spread out the offense as five different
players scored goals. Seniors James Miante (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck),
Tate Greditzer (St. Louis, Mo./John Burroughs), Kevin Permisohn
(Silver Spring, Md./Springbrook) and Justin McCarty (St. Louis,
Mo./St. Louis Country Day School), and sophomore Daniel Lonnerdal
(Davis, Calif./Davis) all tallied a score in the game. In addition,
Permisohn had one assist and two steals and McCarty added two
assists. Junior goalie David Kennedy (St. Louis, Mo./St. Louis
Country Day School) recorded 13 saves in the contest.
Against George Washington, junior Ryan McCarty (St. Louis, Mo./St.
Louis Country Day School) led the way offensively with four goals
and two assists, while Greditzer added three scores and one assist.
Lonnerdal had a team-high five steals to go along with two goals,
while Permisohn had one goal, three assists and one steal in the
Bison victory.
Bucknell went 1-3 on the weekend to move to 12-12 overall and
3-5 in the league. The Orange and Blue travel to California for
a game against California Baptist on Friday, October 13, before
participating in the Convergence Tournament at Pomona-Pitzer on
the 13-14.
