Water Polo Completes Perfect Weekend With 19-13 Victory

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell men's water polo team
concluded play in the Bucknell Invitational with a 19-13 victory
over Slippery Rock on Sunday, September 17. The Bison finish
the weekend with a perfect 4-0 record with wins over Grove City
(20-7), Washington & Jefferson (20-11) and Salem-Teikyo (9-7)
on Saturday, and today's victory over Slippery Rock.
Against The Rock, Bucknell got an offensive outburst from several
players, including brothers Ryan and Justin McCarty (St. Louis,
Mo./St. Louis Country Day School). A junior, Ryan McCarty finished
the game with a team-best six goals, in addition to grabbing three
steals. Senior captain Justin McCarty scored four times on five
attempts and stole the ball once. Also getting involved offensively
was senior Tate Greditzer (St. Louis, Mo./John Burroughs). Greditzer
had three goals on five attempts, and added five assists. In
addition, he stole the ball a team-high four times.
Senior captain Kevin Permisohn (Silver Spring, Md./Springbrook)
added to his season totals with three goals and three assists
in the contest, in addition to registering three steals. Seniors
James Miante (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) and Chris Kempton (New
York, N.Y./Deerfield Academy) finished out the Bucknell scoring
with two goals and one goal, respectively.
The Bison improve to 8-4 overall and are in action again next
week when the host the Southern Division League games in Freas-Rooke
Natatorium on Saturday and Sunday, September 23-24.
