Marshall Wins Subway Athlete-of-the-Month Award

Lewisburg, Pa. --- Bucknell junior Becki Marshall (Montgomery, N.Y./Pine Bush Central) has received the Subway Athlete of the Month Award for the month of September in Cross Country.
The award was announced at the monthly Bucknell Women's Sports Luncheon, held Monday, October 2. Sponsored by Lewisburg Subway, the luncheon recognizes one outstanding student-athlete from each Bucknell women's sport in season at that time. Other winners for the month of September, as selected by the respective coaches, included sophomore Laurie Purse in soccer, senior Brooke Bader in volleyball, sophomore Molly Campbell in golf, and junior Melissa Maher in field hockey.
So far this season Marshall has been nothing short of fantastic for the cross country team. During the month of September, Marshall was awarded with the Patriot League Cross Country Athlete-of-the-Week twice for the weeks ending 9/11 and 10/1. Marshall also garnered ECAC Cross Country Athlete-of-the-Week honors for the week ending 9/11.
The cross country team is currently ranked fourth in the NCAA Division I Mid-Atlantic Region and will run again on October 14 at Iowa State in the Pre-NCAA meet.
