Mark Tun, formerly the head coach of a strong Olivet Nazarene program, joined the Bucknell men’s soccer staff as an assistant coach in July of 2024. and he helped guide the Bison to a Patriot League championship in his first season in Lewisburg.
Tun guided ONU to a 12-4-3 overall record, a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference championship, and a berth in the NAIA Tournament in 2023.
Tun is a 2018 graduate of Benedictine University, where he was part of a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference championship and NCAA Division III Sweet Sixteen team during his junior year. The Eagles compiled a 60-28-4 record during Tun’s four-year career, and after graduating with a degree in exercise sports studies he was hired as an assistant coach at his alma mater. Tun served as the program’s lead recruiting coordinator and goalkeepers coach, and in the summer of 2021 he was named interim head coach while the program conducted a head coach search.
In the spring of 2022, Tun moved on to NAIA power Olivet Nazarene as the top assistant coach, and he again served a brief stint as interim head coach. The Tigers posted a 16-2-3 record, including a 9-0-3 mark in the CCAC, and they cruised to the conference title and an NAIA Tournament bid that fall.
Tun was promoted to head coach at ONU in May of 2023, and last season his side averaged 2.3 goals per game and defeated Roosevelt in penalty kicks to claim a third straight CCAC title. ONU fell 1-0 in overtime to LSU Shreveport in the first round of the NAIA Tournament in Oklahoma.
Tun made his Division I coaching debut at UAlbany in the spring of 2024 before coming to Bucknell.

He is an excellent addition to the staff, and we look forward to working with Mark toward making the Bucknell men's soccer experience an extremely special and meaningful one for the players here.”
