A Bowie, Md., native, Joanna Murray is the newest addition to Mark Keppler's athletic training staff at Bucknell.
Murray graduated from Frostburg State University in 2010 with a degree in athletic training. She followed that up with a master's degree in athletic training from California University of Pennsylvania this past May.
A four-year member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, Murray served as an athletic trainer at the Trinity Area School District in Washington, Pa., during the 2010-11 school year. She also was an athletic trainer for the USCAA National Basketball Tournament and for a variety of youth wrestling tournaments in 2010-11.
Murray got her start in athletic training as a student assistant at Frostburg State. She also completed a summer internship with the University of Maryland football program as an undergraduate.
