Jason Pelletier joined the Bucknell coaching staff in the summer of 2012. Pelletier is a 2012 graduate of Penn State University, where he specialized in the pole vault while completing his degree in kinesiology.
In Pelletier’s first season with the Bison, Bucknell pole vaulters earned a pair of All-Patriot League honors. Emily Ando and Nathaniel Witter were both named to the second team in the spring.
In addition to his competitive experience, which includes a career-best ninth-place finish at the 2009 Big Ten Outdoor Track & Field Championships and five state titles at the high school level, Pelletier has built his coaching resume as a pole vault counselor at Penn State Track and Field camps and as a personal trainer at One-on-One Fitness. The native of Beton, Ark., was also a participant in the Athletic Directors Leadership Institute and the NCAA Career in Sports Forum while with the Nittany Lions.
Most recently before joining the Bison, Pelletier interned with Penn State Orthopedics where he studied recovery from orthopedic injuries and guided patients through exercise programs.
